Application

The undergraduate architecture program has two components: general architecture and preprofessional architecture. Admission to the general architecture program is open to all students admitted into the university. Admission into the preprofessional program in the second-year is competitive and based on a comprehensive review of the student’s portfolio, essay, statement of intent, and grade point average.

Below is a breakdown of the criteria to apply to second-year of the program

Comprehensive Review for El Paso Program:

After your second year at EPCC, DACC or other program, you are to submit a portfolio of design work, letter of intent, transfer application to Texas Tech and an application to the College of Architecture. Applications may be done on line. Portfolio and letter must be sent to: Prof. Nicholas Markovich AIA, Director; CoA El Paso Program, Texas Tech University in El Paso, Contact Dr. Markovich for proper address 915-760-8275.

Attention transfer students applying to second or third year!
Portfolio and statement of intent are due May 1.
