Examples-Phase One

Scanworld and targets positions:

This AutoCAD DWF file shows the targets' positions and the scanners positions for each scan. In the field work, we did 55 scans from different perspectives. These scans include the exterior of the grain elevator. the head house, train and truck offices and the interior of the mohair building. This is the first step to surveying any project using Cyrax 3D scanner.

Note: Please go and get free viewer of AutoDesk Volo View Express before you start to view the DWF file. Once you've installed the viewer, click on the "Cancel" button in the jump out window on the DWF file page.

Hand Measuring:

Other than the 3D scans, we did a lot hand measuring on site. The area measured includes interior of the head house, interior of the mohair building and detail of the truck shed.

Registration:

When the field work was finished, we need put all the scans together using Cyclone, which is called - registration. The size of the model after registration will be the sum of all individual scans, which occupies much more CPU and memory usage than before. So, if the form of the building is very complicated, one should consider what is exactly need for the final production before we start the registration. In this project, the elevator, head house, mohair building and offices compose a complex on the site. We completed a test registration to practice our skill and test the computer's ability to run such a large model.
