In a technique that is analogous to the original physical still-life model, digital media allows the designer to rapidly take existing material and leverage it into variegated proposals. The frontal manipulated capture is imported into Adobe Illustrator and traced as a underlay. Closed shapes are created by selectively tracing elements. The tracing is literally stretched and compressed into a new diagram that is manipulated in Photoshop. A second study starts with stretching and compression of the same diagram, but is then reconfigured into an entirely different, but related proposal.
