Michael Peters received a B.ARCH from the University of Arizona in 1968 and an M.ARCH from Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 1971. He worked for ten years as an architect with nationally prominent firms in Boston on projects of national and international significance. In addition to teaching at Texas Tech University, his research is focused on regional issues of planning and environmentally responsive design. Working through U.S. sponsored exchange programs, he has also taught and consulted on urban design in Central Mexico. He currently maintains an architectural practice in Lubbock, Texas engaged primarily in projects in the public realm (institutional, commercial, recreational, etc.) and urban design. He has completed master plans and urban design guidelines for several communities and institutions in Texas. |
