The B.S. Architecture is the pre-professional degree that gives students knowledge and career opportunities in architecture, the building industry, and related fields. Master of Architecture The Master of Architecture is the professional degree and is accredited by National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). It consists of 131 credit hours of undergraduate courses and 42 hours of graduate courses. Master of Science in Architecture The Master of Science in Architecture degree is a research-based academic degree for students interested in a focused area of study. This degree does not prepare you for architecture licensure. The Master of Science in Architecture is for students with an accredited professional B.Arch or M.Arch. degree, or with an approved Bachelors degree in another discipline (such as Interior Design, Engineering etc.). Land-Use Planning, Management, and Design The interdisciplinary Ph.D. degree program in Land-Use Planning, Management, and Design accepts students from diverse educational backgrounds.Students with interests in architecture, community planning and design, historic preservation, environmental-natural resource planning and management, public policy administration, and many other aspects of land use may find the program suitable to their needs. Certificate: Histroric Preservation The College of Architecture's Master of Science in Architecture with a certificate of specialization in Historic Preservation (HP) is an interdisciplinary program that focuses on the documentation and preservation of historic architecture. Certificate: Visualization The College of Architecture's Master of Science in Architecture with certificate of specialization in Visualization (VIZ) is an interdisciplinary program that focuses on the digital visualization of art, design, engineering, and science.
